Just Information

Wow, it has been almost 2 months since I've posted something. Just tells you we've been a busy family this summer. I will attempt to catch you up quickly. I do have pictures to post but my camera is upstairs, so pictures will come later tonight.

We had an amazing 4th of July. We spent it in Sandy. They have a great community event and a parade in the evening, which is even better. I never did understand getting up at 6:00am just to see a parade. We stayed for the fireworks and this year both boys loved it. I held Reilly on my lap and at one point he just started to clap. He didn't fall asleep that night until well after midnight.

The end of July we packed the truck up and headed north, 650 miles north. We stayed with my parents in their new house for 10 days. My brother, his wife, and three children came up from Arkansas for the visit as well. My sisters and their little boys also came over from Portland and Spokane. What a fun visit. I think my boys would have been happy if we just moved there. We enjoyed the hydroplane races, the river, park, the pool in my parents yard, and a great crab boil. You know that saying, "you need a vacation from your vacation". Well, I did need one. It was fun but I was exhausted.

We are now moving into August and I started having yucky foot problems again. Anyone remember when I had to wear that stupid black boot because my doctor thought I had a stress fracture in my foot? Yeah, it was that same pain. I went to a foot doctor and we did an MRI that showed I have "abnormal inflammation inside the bone". It's in three bones in my right foot, and if I had to guess it is also in my left. That is just judging from the fact it hurts just as much. What does that mean? Well, we don't know. My mom came down for a week to help me out when I was put on bedrest to help heal the inflammation. She left. My feet still hurt. I go back to the doctor tomorrow for cortizone shots in my feet. Ever have that done? If not, I'm very happy for you. I hope you never have to have that experience. If you have, you will gladly shed a tear for the pain I am going to go through tomorrow. Keep your fingers crossed it works and I can get around without hurting. I'm going to also have a bone biopsy done on the 9th as well has shave off a taylors bunion (it's by the little piggy toe). Whew, that was a lot of informtion.

The best news of this blog has to do with Braedon and Reilly, of course. Reilly has gotten into structured play starting in September. We are VERY excited for this. He'll get more dedicated attention. He is also 94 on the Pingree list and might be able to be evaluated and start next fall. If you are wondering, we are pretty sure Reilly is also on the spectrum.

Braedon started another year of school at the Pingree Center yesterday. It was a nervous day for Mom and Dad, but we made it through with flying colors. Braedon loved it. He was happy to get there, kissed and hugged his Dad, and went off to play. When I picked him up in the afternoon he said, "Mommy". That made my day. He was happy to go, but when he went back today he was pretty excited. He did great his first day. He attended at 100% just about the entire day and did wonderful with his verbal, matching, and body part sessions. I'm sure proud of his progress.

That about sums up our lives in the last two months. Oh, I did get ONE tomato from my garden. Noelle, when you read this please know you are going to come over to my house next year and help me out! I really want a garden, but I am just retarded!
