Wow, it's been a long time since I've blogged. It's amazing how little I use my computer when I have to walk 15 steps to the basement.
Today Braedon, Reilly, and I went for a walk. As I was getting Braedon ready he said, "Nanny Papa". I had to tell him that would be too far of a walk for us (about 640 miles). Then he decided we'd go see his cousin, Dominic. As with everything Braedon wants, he says the name over and over and over and over and over (I did that multiple times so you'd understand how annoying it is). I agreed we'd walk down to his Tio's and see if Dominic was home. I knew he wasn't, because his Tio is deployed at the moment and not in the country. Off we went.
As we got closer, Braedon ran up to the door and started to ring the doorbell, knock, and lift the mail slot to look in. He kept saying the name Dominic. As I got closer I heard him say, "Dominic, where you?" He looked around the side of the house and no one was there. I told him sorry he wasn't home and we had to go.
As we started to walk off, Braedon looked at me with a very sad face and said, "Vedy sad." He was sad.
Hopefully he'll get to see his cousin tomorrow. We continued our walk around the block to help him overcome his grief. Luckily, a train named Percy and some dirt was all it took.
