Summer Vacation

Vacation in Pasco, Washington is a fun adventure. Braedon, Reilly, and I headed out from Salt Lake Friday morning for a very long 11 hour drive. Usually my boys are excellent travelers. Not so much this time...at least Reilly. He cried and screamed about 8 of the 11 hours. By the time we reached my mom's house, my ears hurt and I secretly was okay when Braedon would hit Reilly and tell him to shut up. I know, mother of the year!!

We've been here for a few days and my boys are in heaven. Nothing beats going to grandma's house. She has the best toys, the best backyard, and cousins. What could be better. Plus, she has a large pool that everyone can swim in. Reilly is a fish. We put some floaties on him and he jumps and swims and loves every minute of pool time. Braedon is afraid of his shadow. He spent yesterday standing on a chair on the outside of the pool, with his floaties on. He refused to get in the pool and splashed. Today, I pulled him in and after awhile he calmed down enough to be okay with being in the pool. He sticks to the sides and won't venture out very far. He got out and then asked to get back in, which is a big step. Hopefully tomorrow he'll get in on his own.

Braedon is not a daredevil. Everything he does is thought over first. I see this as a good thing and as something that is going to hold him back. We'll just have to wait and see how time goes.

The boys have had a great time with their cousins, Aiden and Olivia. Even Reilly and Aiden have played together. Reilly doesn't usually know there are other children around, so to see him playing WITH Aiden was a real treat for me.

I am exhausted but having a lot of fun. We are heading home in a few days to be back for Braedon's best friends' birthday. I sure hope the trip home is easier then the trip up. Please Reilly don't scream for 8 hours....

Dean is at home, by the way. All alone... Doing a long honeydo list, playing video games, and sleeping. I should ask him when he's going to take the boys away for a week and leave me at home. LOL!! I know he misses us terribly and it will be nice to be back together again.

Tomorrow events include hay and going to see the Columbia River Temple....oh, and the pool.
